Vasalunds IF

Vasalunds IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in SEF Trophy. In addition to Vasalunds IF, 35 other teams played in SEF Trophy. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Vasalunds IF could be found in Group 6 together with Jönköpings Södra IF, Alingsås IF and IF Elfsborg. Vasalunds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against AIK FF with 0-3. In the Final, AIK FF won over Helsingborgs IF and became the winner of Play off A in SEF Trophy. Vasalunds IF also participated in Boys 15 Swe during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in B15S Play off B, but lost it against Örebro SK with 0-7. Vasalunds comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 57 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Ingarö IF, Saltsjöbadens IF, Storvreta IK, IF Brommapojkarna, Sickla IF, Sörskogens IF, Älta IF, Hanvikens SK, IFK Haninge and Kungsängens IF).
