Gammelstads IF

Gammelstads IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Gammelstads IF, 195 other teams from 39 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Gammelstads IF could be found in Group 1 together with Clube Campo Belo, Sölvesborgs GIF and AP Top 54. Gammelstads IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Beirut FAC with 2-4. In the Final, FC Chambly won over Glumslövs FF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Gammelstads IF also participated in Boys 14 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/32 Final in B14 Play off A, but lost it against Furulunds IK with 3-5. Gammelstads comes from Gammelstad, Luleå which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gammelstad, Luleå does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (IFK Luleå, FC Norrsken, Notvikens Ik/ Luleå SK, Lira BK, Sunderby SK, Bergnäsets AIK and Sunderby SK/ Gammelstads IF).
