Djurgården IF FF

Djurgården IF FF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Djurgården IF FF, 97 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Djurgården IF FF could be found in Group 14 together with Oppsal IF, GP de Tavene and Boxholms IF. Djurgården IF FF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IBV with 0-2. In the Final, Dösjöbro/Vellinge won over Stord Fotball and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Djurgården IF FF also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/32 Final in G15 Play off A, but lost it against Stenkullen GoIK with 0-2. Djurgården comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 57 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Ingarö IF, Saltsjöbadens IF, Storvreta IK, IF Brommapojkarna, Sickla IF, Sörskogens IF, Älta IF, Hanvikens SK, IFK Haninge and Kungsängens IF).
