Svedala IF

Svedala IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Svedala IF, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Svedala IF could be found in Group 20 together with IBV, Lindome GIF and Stars'n Stripes. Svedala IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against F.C. Beirut with 4-5. In the Final, Ryerson SC West won over PLAYR Academy and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Svedala comes from Svedala which lies approximately 260 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Svedala does also provide 28 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Husie IF, LB07, Trollenäs IF, Hyllie IK, IF Lödde, Bjärreds IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, V. Ingelstad IS, Uppåkra IF and IFK Klagshamn).
