FK Spartak Tashkent

FK Spartak Tashkent was one of two clubs from Uzbekistan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to FK Spartak Tashkent, 168 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof FK Spartak Tashkent could be found in Group 39 together with Martutene KE, Uppåkra IF and Kungsbacka IF 1. FK Spartak Tashkent continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 39. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Walddörfer SV 1 with 1-2. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over Mountain FC 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. FK Spartak Tashkent comes from Tashkent which lies approximately 4400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than FK Spartak Tashkent, the club Special Olympics Uzbekistan does also originate from the area around Tashkent.
