Melleruds IF

Melleruds IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Melleruds IF, 195 other teams from 36 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof Melleruds IF could be found in Group 6 together with Carpe Diem FC, Kona Crush and IFK Knislinge. Melleruds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Tiller with 1-3. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over SKF Bulgaria and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Melleruds comes from Mellerud which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mellerud does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Vänersborgs IF, Vänersborgs FK and Eds FF).
