Helgerød/Gøif

Helgerød/Gøif was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Helgerød/Gøif, 97 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Helgerød/Gøif could be found in Group 24 together with IFK Örby, Sandvikens IF and IFK Oskarshamn. Helgerød/Gøif continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 24. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Dösjöbro/Vellinge with 0-2. In the Final, Dösjöbro/Vellinge won over Stord Fotball and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Helgerød/Gøif comes from Sandefjord which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandefjord does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Sandar IL, IL Runar and Store Bergan IL).
