Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy

Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy was one of three clubs from Zambia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy, 148 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy could be found in Group 18 together with Nordhordland BK 2, Vaksala SK 1 and JFV Verden/Brunsbrock 1. Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Oppsal IF 1 with 4-5. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against Örgryte IS with 0-1. Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy comes from LUSAKA which lies approximately 8300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy, the club SKF Zambia does also originate from the area around LUSAKA.
