Mexico Elite FC

Mexico Elite FC was one of 13 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Mexico Elite FC, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Mexico Elite FC could be found in Group 5 together with IFK Falköping FF Blå, GAIS and SKF Italy. Mexico Elite FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Seatown FC with 0-1. In the Final, Stryn TIL won over Seatown FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Mexico Elite FC comes from MEXICO which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MEXICO does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (CA Intercups Mexico, CLUB REFORMA, Intercups MX, A.S. México, Halcones Mexico, Paris-Jilo and Santos Laguna CDMX).
