Åkersberga BK

Åkersberga BK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Åkersberga BK, 97 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Åkersberga BK could be found in Group 19 together with IK Zenith, FK Fjellhamar and Valur. Åkersberga BK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against ATSV Scharmbeckstotel with 0-1. In the Final, Dösjöbro/Vellinge won over Stord Fotball and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Åkersberga BK also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in G15 Play off B, but lost it against SKK with 0-1. Åkersberga comes from Åkersberga which lies approximately 420 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åkersberga does also provide 55 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Ingarö IF, Saltsjöbadens IF, Storvreta IK, IF Brommapojkarna, Sickla IF, Sörskogens IF, Älta IF, Hanvikens SK, IFK Haninge and Kungsängens IF).
