Ope IF

Ope IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Ope IF, 68 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof Ope IF could be found in Group 11 together with Nittorps IK, Vendelsö IK and United FC. Ope IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Svärtinge SK with 5-6. In the Final, Kristianstads DFF won over Medkila IL and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Ope IF also participated in Girls 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in G18 Play off B, but lost it against Enskede IK with 0-3. Ope comes from Östersund which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Östersund does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Frösö IF and IFK Östersund).
