F.C. Martignas Illac

F.C. Martignas Illac was one of 20 clubs from France that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to F.C. Martignas Illac, 187 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof F.C. Martignas Illac could be found in Group 10 together with Frövi IK, FC International Leipzig e.V. and Bærums Verk Hauger IF. F.C. Martignas Illac continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Rödeby AIF with 5-6. In the Final, Ryerson SC West won over PLAYR Academy and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. F.C. Martignas Illac comes from Martignas sur Jalle which lies approximately 1700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Martignas sur Jalle does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Merignac, S.A and FC Bordeaux Aquitaine).
