IFK Västervik

IFK Västervik was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IFK Västervik, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof IFK Västervik could be found in Group 16 together with Nittedal IL, Kullavik IF/Särö IK and CA Barra da Tijuca. IFK Västervik continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Jockey Club de Rosario with 1-3. In the Final, Ryerson SC West won over PLAYR Academy and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. IFK Västervik comes from Västervik which lies approximately 270 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västervik does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Tjust IF FF and Västerviks FF).
