Högsby IK

Högsby IK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Högsby IK, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Högsby IK could be found in Group 34 together with Lillestrøm SK 1, FC Bangkok and Onsala BK 1. Högsby IK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Torna Hällestad IF with 0-4. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Högsby comes from Högsby which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Högsby IK, the club IFK Oskarshamn does also originate from the area around Högsby.
