Virestad IF/Grimslövs

Virestad IF/Grimslövs was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Virestad IF/Grimslövs, 195 other teams from 36 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof Virestad IF/Grimslövs could be found in Group 26 together with Hayat AC, ASF Le Perreux and Bjärreds IF 2. Virestad IF/Grimslövs continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against AS Meudon with 0-8. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over SKF Bulgaria and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Virestad IF/Grimslövs comes from Virestad which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Virestad does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (IFK Osby, Älmhults IF, Lönsboda GoIF, Alvesta GIF and Östers IF).
