IFK Borgholm

IFK Borgholm was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to IFK Borgholm, 137 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof IFK Borgholm could be found in Group 22 together with The Kusasa Stars, SC Unterzeil-Reichenhofen and Ytterby IS. IFK Borgholm continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against PPJ Helsinki with 0-2. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna won over Dallas Texans Soccer Club and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. IFK Borgholm comes from Borgholm which lies approximately 300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borgholm does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Färjestadens GoIF and Kalmar FF).
