AF Alcoitão

AF Alcoitão was one of 8 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to AF Alcoitão, 195 other teams from 39 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof AF Alcoitão could be found in Group 2 together with SK Djerv 1919, Gideonsbergs IF and J-L Juniors. AF Alcoitão continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lyn Fotball with 0-1. In the Final, FC Chambly won over Glumslövs FF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. AF Alcoitão comes from Alcoitão which lies approximately 2600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Alcoitão does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (UF Comércio e Indústria, Charneca de Caparica Futebol Clube, Benfica and AFD Torre).
