SV Rugenbergen

SV Rugenbergen was one of 58 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to SV Rugenbergen, 148 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof SV Rugenbergen could be found in Group 7 together with Kungsladugårds BK, FC Saint Cloud and Sandar IL. SV Rugenbergen continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against SSV Buchholz 1922 e.V. with 0-3. In the Final, NorCal Premier PDP won over Windsor FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Rugenbergen comes from Boenningstedt which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Boenningstedt does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Walddörfer SV, SV Eichede, FC Este 2012, Wedeler TSV, SC Vier- und Marschlande Hamburg, Rahlstedter, SC, FC St. Pauli Hamburg, Ellerau, SC, Holsatia im EMTV and Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld).
