Silsden AFC

Silsden AFC was one of 35 clubs from England that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Silsden AFC, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Silsden AFC could be found in Group 33 together with Alingsås IF, Spårvägens FF and FC Teutonia 05. Silsden AFC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 33. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Matfors IF with 1-2. In the Final, Stryn TIL won over Seatown FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Silsden AFC comes from Silsden which lies approximately 960 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Silsden AFC, the club Burnley College FA does also originate from the area around Silsden.
