Shakti Sports Academy

Shakti Sports Academy was one of 8 clubs from India that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Shakti Sports Academy, 168 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Shakti Sports Academy could be found in Group 31 together with Lunds BK 3, JSSL Singapore 2, Älvsjö AIK FF and BK Häcken 2. Shakti Sports Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 31. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Markaryds IF with 2-10. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Shakti Sports Academy comes from MUMBai which lies approximately 6500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MUMBai does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Hill Spring, Utpal Shanghvi Global School, Prabhavati Padamshi Soni IJC and Bangalore Soccer Academy).
