Uppåkra IF

Uppåkra IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Uppåkra IF, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Uppåkra IF could be found in Group 39 together with FK Spartak Tashkent, Martutene KE and Kungsbacka IF 1. Uppåkra IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 39. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Lillestrøm SK 2 with 6-7. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Uppåkra comes from Hjärup which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hjärup does also provide 27 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Husie IF, LB07, Trollenäs IF, Hyllie IK, IF Lödde, Bjärreds IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, V. Ingelstad IS, IFK Klagshamn and Vellinge FF).
