Fortuna Biesdorf

Fortuna Biesdorf was one of 58 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Fortuna Biesdorf, 195 other teams from 36 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof Fortuna Biesdorf could be found in Group 41 together with Medkila IL, Sunnersta AIF and Lindome GIF. Fortuna Biesdorf continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 41. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lillestrøm SK with 1-3. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over SKF Bulgaria and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Fortuna Biesdorf comes from Berlin which lies approximately 590 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Berlin does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (FC Nordost Berlin and Mahlsdorf-Waldesruh, B-W).
