IFK Solna

IFK Solna was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to IFK Solna, 117 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof IFK Solna could be found in Group 19 together with TV Neuenkirchen, Lerums IS and Fanna BK. IFK Solna continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Team Odense Q with 0-4. In the Final, Hammarby IF FF won over Lerums IS and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. IFK Solna also participated in Girls 14 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/4 Final in G14 Play off B, but lost it against Skogås/Trångsunds FF with 0-2. IFK Solna comes from Solna which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Solna does also provide 57 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Ingarö IF, Saltsjöbadens IF, Storvreta IK, IF Brommapojkarna, Sickla IF, Sörskogens IF, Älta IF, Hanvikens SK, IFK Haninge and Kungsängens IF).
