VFL Jheringefehn

VFL Jheringefehn was one of 58 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to VFL Jheringefehn, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof VFL Jheringefehn could be found in Group 27 together with Råsunda IS, Football Academy of Jerusalem and IF Växbo. VFL Jheringefehn continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 27. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against AIK FF Gul 2 with 0-5. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over Mountain FC 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. Jheringefehn comes from Moormerland which lies approximately 570 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Moormerland does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (JSG Rot Weiß Kickers Frisia Emden, Süderneulander SV and KGS Wittmund).
