San Diego Soccer Club

San Diego Soccer Club was one of 44 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to San Diego Soccer Club, 117 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof San Diego Soccer Club could be found in Group 2 together with Enköpings SK, Högbo AIK and Lira BK. San Diego Soccer Club continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Fortuna FF with 0-3. In the Final, Hammarby IF FF won over Lerums IS and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. San Diego Soccer comes from san diego which lies approximately 8900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around san diego does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Del Mar Sharks and SoCal United).
