Sandvikens AIK

Sandvikens AIK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Sandvikens AIK, 148 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Sandvikens AIK could be found in Group 33 together with V. Frölunda IF, FCSR Haguenau and Windsor FC. Sandvikens AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 33. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IF Väster with 3-5. In the Final, NorCal Premier PDP won over Windsor FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Sandvikens AIK comes from Sandviken which lies approximately 420 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandviken does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Sandvikens IF, Hille IF, Högbo AIK, Gävle GIK/FK and Bk Legend).
