Avesta AIK

Avesta AIK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Avesta AIK, 195 other teams from 39 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Avesta AIK could be found in Group 11 together with SKF Zambia, Mantorps FF and CA Intercups Mexico. Avesta AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Dalen/KFF with 4-6. In the Final, FC Chambly won over Glumslövs FF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Avesta AIK comes from Avesta which lies approximately 360 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Avesta does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Fagersta Södra IK and Västanfors IF).
