Tramway FC

Tramway FC was one of 11 clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Tramway FC, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Tramway FC could be found in Group 6 together with Walddörfer SV 1, Hammarby IF FF 2 and Brunnby FF. Tramway FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against SV Eichede with 0-3. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Tramway FC comes from Cape Town which lies approximately 10000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Cape Town does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (The Rainbow Team, Milano United Football Club and Project Playground FC).
