Öja FF

Öja FF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Öja FF, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Öja FF could be found in Group 42 together with HK 1, Ulricehamns IFK and SV Eintracht Segeberg. Öja FF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 42. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Sangre Chilena FC with 3-4. In the Final, Ryerson SC West won over PLAYR Academy and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Öja comes from Ystad which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Ystad does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Liga 96, Ystads IF FF and Trelleborgs FF).
