Bergnäsets AIK

Bergnäsets AIK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Bergnäsets AIK, 117 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Bergnäsets AIK could be found in Group 16 together with Smedby AIS, Nässjö FF and SK Haugar. Bergnäsets AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against JSSL Singapore with 0-1. In the Final, Glumslövs FF won over Vinslövs IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Bergnäsets AIK comes from Luleå which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Luleå does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (IFK Luleå, FC Norrsken, Notvikens Ik/ Luleå SK, Lira BK, Sunderby SK, Sunderby SK/ Gammelstads IF and Gammelstads IF).
