Vimmerby IF

Vimmerby IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Vimmerby IF, 90 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Vimmerby IF could be found in Group 9 together with FC Norrsken, Barkarö SK and Hittarps IK 1. Vimmerby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Älta IF with 0-2. In the Final, FC Hessleholm won over Onsala BK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Vimmerby comes from Vimmerby which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Vimmerby IF, the club Kisa BK does also originate from the area around Vimmerby.
