Bergsjö IF

Bergsjö IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Bergsjö IF, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Bergsjö IF could be found in Group 23 together with Regents Park FC, Gideao Soccer and Irsta IF 1. Bergsjö IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Phoenix Football Academy with 1-2. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Bergsjö IF also participated in Boys 11 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/16 Final in B11 Play off B, but lost it against FC Bellevue 1 with 0-1. Bergsjö originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 76 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: IK Zenith, Alingsås IF, Kareby/Kode, Kållered SK, Askims IK, Onsala BK, Bollebygds IF, Ytterby IS, Lunden-Överås BK and Särö IK).
