Öckerö IF

Öckerö IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Öckerö IF, 148 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Öckerö IF could be found in Group 21 together with Stars'n Stripes Red, Ludvika FK and Welland Juniors. Öckerö IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Milano United Football Club with 1-3. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Öckerö IF also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against OLYMPIACOS ACADEMIC with 1-2. Öckerö comes from Öckerö which lies approximately 19 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Öckerö does also provide 63 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: IK Zenith, Kareby/Kode, Kållered SK, Askims IK, Ytterby IS, Lunden-Överås BK, Särö IK, V. Frölunda IF, Tölö IF and Jitex Mölndal BK).
