IF Växbo

IF Växbo was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to IF Växbo, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof IF Växbo could be found in Group 27 together with Råsunda IS, VFL Jheringefehn and Football Academy of Jerusalem. IF Växbo continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 27. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Sörskogens IF 2 with 1-4. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Växbo comes from Bollnäs which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bollnäs does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Norrala IF, Edsbyns IF/FF, Kilafors IF, Bollnäs GIF and Stugsunds IK).
