Svenljunga IK

Svenljunga IK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Svenljunga IK, 195 other teams from 39 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Svenljunga IK could be found in Group 9 together with Saint Martinois, Märsta IK and FC EUROPA Football Academy. Svenljunga IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Gammelstads IF with 1-4. In the Final, FC Chambly won over Glumslövs FF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Svenljunga comes from Svenljunga which lies approximately 74 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Svenljunga does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Bollebygds IF, Sjömarken/Sandareds IF, IF Elfsborg, Ulricehamns IFK, Fristad GoIF/Sparsörs, IFK Örby, Nittorps IK, Limmared-Dalstorp-Tranemo, Norrby IF and Tranemo IF).
