Göteborgs DFF

Göteborgs DFF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Göteborgs DFF, 68 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof Göteborgs DFF could be found in Group 8 together with Søndre Land IL, Minnesota Thunder Academy 1 and Upsala IF. Göteborgs DFF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against FC Djursholm with 6-7. In the Final, Kungsbacka DFF won over FC Djursholm and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Göteborgs DFF also participated in Girls 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/4 Final in G18 Play off A, but lost it against Lyn Fotball with 0-2. Göteborgs DFF originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 75 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: IK Zenith, Alingsås IF, Kareby/Kode, Kållered SK, Askims IK, Bollebygds IF, Ytterby IS, Lunden-Överås BK, Särö IK and V. Frölunda IF).
