Särö IK

Särö IK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Särö IK, 168 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Särö IK could be found in Group 37 together with Coerver Michigan Performance Academy, SK Augur, SV Eichede and Frösö IF 2. Särö IK continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 37. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Tramway FC with 3-4. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over Upsala IF 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Särö comes from Kungsbacka which lies approximately 25 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kungsbacka does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: IK Zenith, Kållered SK, Askims IK, Onsala BK, Lunden-Överås BK, V. Frölunda IF, Tölö IF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Solängens BK and HUS).
