Södra Skärgården IK

Södra Skärgården IK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Södra Skärgården IK, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Södra Skärgården IK could be found in Group 5 together with Färjestadens GoIF, Eimsbütteler TV and Kubikenborgs IF. Södra Skärgården IK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Scandia United SA with 0-3. In the Final, Match Fit Academy won over Footgeneration FA Algarve and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Södra Skärgården comes from Donsö which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Donsö does also provide 62 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Kungsbacka DFF, Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Lunden ÖBK and Särö IK).
