Mölnlycke IF

Mölnlycke IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Mölnlycke IF, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Mölnlycke IF could be found in Group 22 together with S. Lanzarote, EFF Abu Dhabi and Aalborg Chang. Mölnlycke IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against FC Bordeaux Aquitaine with 0-2. In the Final, Project Playground FC won over FK Lillehammer and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Mölnlycke IF also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against Os TF with 1-3. Mölnlycke comes from Mölnlycke which lies approximately 13 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mölnlycke does also provide 66 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Kungsbacka DFF, Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Alingsås KIK, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla and Lunden ÖBK).
