J-L Juniors

J-L Juniors was one of four clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to J-L Juniors, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof J-L Juniors could be found in Group 1 together with Eskilsminne IF, Gammelgårdens IF and USC Paloma Hamburg. J-L Juniors continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against CO Vincennes with 4-5. In the Final, AC Ajaccio won over CO Vincennes and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. J-L Juniors comes from Tokyo which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than J-L Juniors, the club Gamba Osaka does also originate from the area around Tokyo.
