FDF - Academia FC

FDF - Academia FC was the only club from Mozambique that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to FDF - Academia FC, 77 other teams from 15 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof FDF - Academia FC could be found in Group 2 together with Piteå IF DFF, Carinthia Soccer Women - Spittal/Drau and BK Häcken. FDF - Academia FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Jitex Mölndal BK with 0-5. In the Final, Borgeby FK won over Gasteizko Neskak and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. FDF - Academia FC comes from Nampula which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
