IF Warta

IF Warta was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to IF Warta, 137 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof IF Warta could be found in Group 13 together with F.C. Beirut, Prep School Lions 3 and Virestad IF Komb. IF Warta continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against KFV Segeberg with 0-2. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over A.S. México and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 13. Warta originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Lunden ÖBK, Särö IK and Sävedalens IF).
