FC Golden State

FC Golden State was one of 50 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to FC Golden State, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof FC Golden State could be found in Group 34 together with Skjetten Fotball, FK Karlskrona and Hässleholms IF. FC Golden State continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against GAIS with 0-1. In the Final, Cap Jeune 31 won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. FC Golden State comes from PASADENA which lies approximately 8800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
