Gimse IL

Gimse IL was one of 59 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Gimse IL, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Gimse IL could be found in Group 28 together with Ulricehamns IFK, Partille IF and Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy. Gimse IL continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 28. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Hanvikens SK with 1-2. In the Final, Project Playground FC won over FK Lillehammer and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Gimse comes from Gimse which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gimse does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Gauldal Fotballklubb, IL Vestbyen and Nidelv IL).
