IFK Eskilstuna

IFK Eskilstuna was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to IFK Eskilstuna, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof IFK Eskilstuna could be found in Group 13 together with University of Pretoria 2, Noujoumi FC and Lerums IS. IFK Eskilstuna continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Norrby IF with 0-2. In the Final, Entente Sannois Saint Gratien won over Örgryte IS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. IFK Eskilstuna comes from Eskilstuna which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Eskilstuna does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Västerås IK, Skiljebo SK, Eskilstuna City FK, Dingtuna GIF, Västerås SK Ungdom, Västerås BK 30, Västerås SK, Västerås BK30, Irsta IF and Triangelns IK).
