FC Bangkok

FC Bangkok was one of two clubs from Thailand that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to FC Bangkok, 179 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof FC Bangkok could be found in Group 41 together with IK Oden 1, Sarpsborg FK and Mjällby AIF. FC Bangkok continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 41. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against JFV Hanse Lübeck with 1-3. In the Final, Cap Jeune 31 won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. FC Bangkok also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/32 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against Skara FC with 3-4. FC Bangkok comes from Bangkok which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than FC Bangkok, the club Thai Spirit FC does also originate from the area around Bangkok.
