O Berytus

O Berytus was one of 9 clubs from Lebanon that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to O Berytus, 61 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof O Berytus could be found in Group 7 together with Typhoon FC, Ösmo GIF FK and Skövde KIK. O Berytus continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Hemet Juventus SC with 0-1. In the Final, Enskede IK won over Alemannia Aachen and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. O Berytus comes from P.O Box 16 which lies approximately 5700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around P.O Box 16 does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (F.C. Beirut, Athletico SC, Noujoumi FC, Hoops, Samaya FA, ZFA and Aquamarine 2).
