Elite Soccer

Elite Soccer was one of two clubs from Guatemala that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Elite Soccer, 179 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Elite Soccer could be found in Group 16 together with KVE Drongen, Ramlösa Södra FF, Lerums IS and Tonbridge School. Elite Soccer continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Sävedalens IF with 0-1. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Elite Soccer comes from GUATEMALA which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Elite Soccer, the club La Academia FC does also originate from the area around GUATEMALA.
