Villastadens IF

Villastadens IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Villastadens IF, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Villastadens IF could be found in Group 2 together with IL Vestbyen, Landvetter IF 1 and FC Connecticut. Villastadens IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Assi IF with 0-1. In the Final, Enskede IK won over Alemannia Aachen and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Villastadens comes from Kristinehamn which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kristinehamn does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (IFK Kristinehamn, FBK Karlstad and Karlstad BK).
