Sampa Futebol

Sampa Futebol was one of 17 clubs from Brazil that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Sampa Futebol, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof Sampa Futebol could be found in Group 19 together with Mölndal Fotboll, JSG Baden/Etelsen and IFK Umeå. Sampa Futebol continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Lerums IS with 0-5. In the Final, Gerdskens BK won over Eskilstuna City FK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Sampa Futebol comes from São Paulo which lies approximately 11000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around São Paulo does also provide 14 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Monte Libano, Pinheiros, E.C., Esporte Uniao, InterClubes, Euro Sports Brasil, Ordin FC, Clube Campo Belo, Hipica Campinas, BrazasPHX/Campo Belo and Phoenix Brazas Soccer Club).
